The almost clown-like red and yellow stripes on the nose and tail of the MB.152s in this painting are tactical recognition markings designed to make it easy to distinguish these Vichy French planes from the MB.152s flown by DeGaulle's Free French forces following the surrender to Germany. They also make for what must be one of Koike's most colorful paintings; you can find almost every color in the rainbow somewhere in the frame.
This print is recreated using offset printing on heavy art stock identical to that used by Koike for his originals. It is printed at 100% of the size of the original artwork, and all color reproduction has been approved by Koike personally. Ships flat.
