Despite its unusually plump fuselage design (earning it the nickname of "the whale"), the Roland C II was an early war hit for the Germans, being used in recon. and light bombing roles. While the painting is perhaps purposely vague, it would appear that the two Rolands seen here have just attacked something, in a rare suggestion of action in a Koike painting.
This print is recreated using offset printing on heavy art stock identical to that used by Koike for his originals. It is printed at 100% of the size of the original artwork, and all color reproduction has been approved by Koike personally. Ships flat.
